Eastgate Centre, Harare, Zimbabwe

Submission by Tondi Koschke

Eastgate Centre, Harare.

The biomimetic design was inspired by termite mounds, and really successfully implements mechanical cooling without air conditioning. What makes the building my favourite is that the inspiration is visible in the aesthetics, too. I love the unusual facade.
