l''aero-habitat. Algiers, Algeria

Submission by Aicha Belkadi

I nominate l''aero-habitat in Algiers (Algeria). I wanted a building located in Algeria and I chose this one in particular because of its (crazy) concept. It was built in the '50s, towards the end of the colonial era. Its architectural design was inspired by the work of Le Corbusier and it was created as a village-building. It consists of several blocks of flats of a round 10/12 storey. The main block contains a street with shops (...) on its middle floor.
